Marine and transport salvage, Australia and New Zealand
Every day a damaged consignment sits, it costs your insured money.
We inspect, value and clear damaged and total loss cargo across marine and transport claims. One principal handles your file start to finish, and the storage clock stops.
Go to Auction WarehouseWho we work for
Three people decide what happens to damaged cargo. We work for all three.
Marine surveyors
You need a defensible residual value before you sign the report. We attend, inspect and give you a written salvage figure with the reasoning behind it, so the number in your survey holds up when it is tested.
Loss adjusters
You need the goods gone, the site cleared and the file closed. We take carriage of disposal, remove the stock, settle in full and report back in the format your principal expects.
Insurers and underwriters
You need recovery against the claim without brand exposure. We maximise return through trade channels, not open marketplaces, and de-brand every unit before it moves.
What we handle
Marine and transport salvage, across the whole chain from wharf to warehouse.
If it moved and it was damaged in transit, storage or handling, it sits inside our scope. We take instructions on single containers and on full facility losses.
Containerised cargo
Seawater ingress, container breach, roof and door damage, condensation and sweat, refrigeration failure, contamination and taint.
Break bulk and project cargo
Steel, timber, machinery, plant and oversize consignments damaged on deck, in hold, or during lift and discharge.
Bulk commodities
Grain, fertiliser, cotton, minerals and other bulk parcels affected by water, contamination, off specification assay or delayed discharge.
Vessels, hulls and equipment
Total loss and constructive total loss vessels, marine engines and drives, deck hardware, rigging, electronics, chandlery and marine retail stock.
Road freight and transit damage
Rollovers, load shift, restraint failure, water ingress through curtain and roof, and pallets damaged in handling at either end.
Rail and intermodal
Derailment, coupling impact, weather exposure in rail yards and damage sustained during modal transfer.
Air freight
High value and time critical consignments damaged in handling, in transit, or through delay and temperature excursion.
Warehouse and distribution
Fire, smoke, water, sprinkler discharge, roof failure, racking collapse and forklift impact across stored and staged stock.
Cold chain failure
Reefer breakdown, power loss and temperature excursion across food, beverage and temperature sensitive goods, handled with full disposal compliance.
How it works
Five steps. One handler. No portal, no bidder queue, no chasing.
Every stage is documented, because a salvage file is only as good as the paper behind it.
-
01
Instruction
You send the loss detail, location and manifest. We confirm the same business day and tell you straight if we are not the right buyer.
-
02
Inspection
We attend, inspect and record condition against the manifest. Photographs, line by line assessment, no assumptions.
-
03
Valuation
You receive a written salvage valuation with recovery rates, comparable evidence and the reasoning set out in full.
-
04
Offer or sale
We buy the parcel outright, or handle the sale on your behalf through trade channels. You choose which suits the file.
-
05
Removal and settlement
Goods removed, site cleared, funds settled and a closing report issued for your claim file.
Brand protection
The reason underwriters lose sleep over salvage is channel damage. We put the fix in writing.
Damaged stock that reappears under its own label in the wrong channel does more harm to the brand owner than the original loss ever did. Every instruction we accept carries a written undertaking:
- All branding, labelling and identifying marks removed before goods move
- No sale into the original retail channel or through open online marketplaces
- Buyer conditions documented and enforced as a term of sale
- Destruction certificates issued where destruction is the required outcome
- Written closing report for the claim file on every parcel
